No county clerk step is needed. Documents must be notarized by a Connecticut notary or certified by a Connecticut official (within the last 10 years) before you order online.
Can I walk in?
You must order online first at sots.service.ct.gov/apostille. You can then hand-deliver your documents and printed order receipt to the Secretary of the State, 165 Capitol Avenue, Suite 1000, Hartford. Regular orders are processed within 5-7 business days; expedited orders within 24 hours.
